Summer 2010

The girls with grandma Carol in Florida. This was taken before we left while we were down in October when my dad passed away.
Ella received her first "real" haircut. She loved it and I was happy that I didn't mess up too bad!
Over the summer we were able to go to Florida to visit my family. We also were able to go to the beach! The girls had so much fun!
Over the summer we also celebrated Ella's third birthday!
We went to the zoo too. They had a blast!

Update

A lot has happened since the last time I blogged. We are expecting a new addition to our family! Another girl! Her name will be Adah Grace. We are excited to welcome her into our family. Ella is super excited and Miriam doesn't really know what is going to happen. James is thrilled too. Hopefully, he'll get his boy one day. I'm excited too. Girls are fun. I am a little nervous about having three children, but I was nervous about having two and that has work out fine.
James is still going to school, working on his PhD. We're not sure when he will be done. We are hoping a couple more years. I am still being blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. It does have it's challenges, but it also is a great blessing to be able to stay home with my girls and to watch them learn and grow.
Ella is getting so big every minute. She is learning so much and is eager to learn. We are currently working on her letter sounds and she has pretty much mastered those and she is learning now how to write and we have been working on reading a bit. She loves to learn and gets excited when she learns something new. She just recently learned how to write her numbers and wants to write them all the time. She enjoys painting, reading, and playing with her friends. She is our social butterfly. She is such a joy to have in our family.
Miriam is a little knuckle-head. She is very stubborn and knows what she wants. She is learning so much everyday too. She loves her big sister and wants to do everything that Ella does. She loves to climb, draw (on everything), and cuddle. She is always getting into everything and very hard-headed. She is going to be our rebellious one when she's older. She does have her sweet moments too. She loves to give hugs, kisses and high-fives. She loves to help out with everything, especially the dishes. She is currently learning her animal sounds. She only says them when she wants to, though. I've taught her some sign language because she would just scream to get what she wanted, but after a few weeks that was all I could handle. She now signs for things and the screaming as settled a bit. She's a little cutie and we love her to death! Even with her craziness!
